How to use this handbook

purpose: identifying, analyzing and prioritizing energy efficienc investments in commercial buildings.

HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning)

英国热量单位（British Thermal Unit），1BTU约等于251.9958卡路里（calorie）=0.293瓦特时（watt-hour）=1.055千焦（killojoule）　

1BTU就是在每平方英寸14.696磅的大气压下，将1磅纯水从59华氏度升温至60华氏度所需要的热量。　

Btu是英热单位（英制），Btu/h就是“英热单位每小时”，　由于 1(英热单位) = 1055.056(焦)，而 1瓦特 = 1焦/秒。　所以 1(英热单位每秒) = 1055.056(瓦特)，把秒换为小时就是:　1英热单位每小时 = 1055.056/3600 = 0.293071(瓦)。　所以一台 (BTU/H) 为10000的空调功率为 10000*0.293 =2.93(千瓦)。

Greenhouse gas (GHG)

1. Obtain previous annual energy consumptioin, find relation with seasons, performance, and other factors that can contribute to the use of energy.

2. Consider interactions between systems.

3.Perform financial analysis of possible efficiency investments. cost: installation, operational expense. reduction: energy use, labor, replacement cost.tax incentives and utility rebates
