ceph rack故障域调整

本文主要介绍ceph的树状层次结构调整,以rack故障域为例展开。

在开始操作之前介绍一种使用crushmap 导出和导入的方法也可以进行调整,但是这个操作起来需要具备一定ceph基础知识。优点是操作简单,缺点是修改起来要求逻辑严谨、ceph基本功扎实。

集群修改crushmap
1.下载当前系统的crushmap:
ceph osd getcrushmap -o crushmap
2.decompile该crushmap:
crushtool -d crushmap -o real_crushmap
3.修改该crushmap:
这里调整树状层次结构以及规则。
4.compile 修改后的real_crushmap:
crushtool -c real_crushmap -o new_crushmap  //c-compile  -o outfile
5.将encode后的new_crushmap导入系统:
ceph osd setcrushmap -i new_crushmap  // i-input/bulid

开始进行rack故障域调整

机柜和节点对应关系:
A-11: 25 28 31 34
A-12: 26 29 32
A-13: 27 30 33 35

操作步骤

1、执行ceph -s确认存储集群状态,保证为健康状态。

2、执行ceph osd tree ,记录变更前的结构。以及存储池pool及其他信息。

3、备份集群的crushmap文件。

ceph osd getcrushmap -o crushmap.bak

该文件用于恢复到原先crushmap状态。
4、添加rack类型的bucket。

ceph osd crush add-bucket rackA-12 rack
ceph osd crush add-bucket rackA-13 rack

ceph osd crush add-bucket rackA-11-ssdpool rack
ceph osd crush add-bucket rackA-12-ssdpool rack
ceph osd crush add-bucket rackA-13-ssdpool rack

5、 把rack类型的bucket分别移动到default/ssdpool的bucket中。

ceph osd crush move rackA-11 root=default
ceph osd crush move rackA-12 root=default
ceph osd crush move rackA-13 root=default

ceph osd crush move rackA-11-ssdpool root=ssdpool
ceph osd crush move rackA-12-ssdpool root=ssdpool
ceph osd crush move rackA-13-ssdpool root=ssdpool

6、 按节点在机柜中的分布,把节点到对应的rack:

ceph osd crush move node-25 rack=rackA-11
ceph osd crush move node-28 rack=rackA-11

执行ceph osd tree 查看集群层次结构是否符合预期;
7、 创建replicated_rule_rack和replicated_rule_rack_ssdpool规则。
replicated_rule_rack:用于带缓存的osd,以rack为故障域的应用规则;
replicated_rule_rack_ssdpool:用于普通ssd分区为osd,以rack为故障域的应用规则;

ceph osd crush rule create-replicated {name} {root} {failure-domain-type}
//root,The name of the node under which data should be placed.即应该放置数据的root bucket的名称,例如default。

ceph osd crush rule create-replicated replicated_rule_rack default rack
ceph osd crush rule create-replicated replicated_rule_rack_ssdpool ssdpool rack

备注:可以结合以下命令验证创建的rule是否符合预期。
ceph osd crush rule ls 查看当前集群的rule规则
ceph osd crush rule dump xxx 查看某一个xxx rule的详细信息

8、 存储池应用规则。
应用上一步创建的replicated_rule_rack规则到除了ssdpool以外的其他存储池

9、 验证存储池规则,查看crush_rule,确保符合预期(rule id)。

10、 执行ceph –s 检查集群,等待恢复正常,重复步骤1检查集群状态,以及检查虚机业务是否正常使用。
11、 如有必要,客户协助进行rack机柜下电,进行故障模拟。预期单个机柜内大于2台host主机下电不影响业务使用。
12、 变更完成。
